Don't move here!

I'd expect a little bit of discomfort living in mid to low income houseing, but this place is horrible and it's mostly because of the staff. These people just treat you like you're the scum of the Earth! For example: I've payed my rent on time every month this year, and in person, and I get a receipt of which they keep a copy, but for some reason they keep sending me these "Late Rent" notices and threatening legal action. When I call them to ask what the deal is with the notes they always refer to some manager who never seems to be in the office at the time. Additionally, they TOTALLY messed up my utilities bill; they even admitted to overcharging me. The problem is they want me to pay for services for which I don't have a bill; there's something wrong with that (ain't that illegal or something). But wait there's more . . .

They changed the parking permit sticker that all residents are required to keep in their vehicles without notifying me and some of the other residents, and, as a result, I get my car towed to the tune of $150. This is because I still had the old sticker. They never told me when I went to pay my rent in person. They never posted any signs in their office notifying the residents of the change. They never posted a note at my door. They never posted a note on the building itself. AND THEY WONT REIMBURSE ME FOR THE TOW! Their argument is that they told 95% of the residents, (but they imply that since I'm a member of the 5% minority that didn't receive the notice then I must be lying about not receiving a note).

One time they evicted somebody out of my building on a Friday. They put all of the property on the front lawn; some of which was food and garbage. They are required to pick that stuff up after 24 hrs. They didn't pick it up until Monday, and only after numerous complaints. The food & garbage was nasty and smelled horrific by this time (it started to smell on Saturday)!

I should have known there'd be trouble when I first moved in. I was in a ground floor apartment, and on the second day it rained. The water seeped into the livingroom and soaked a huge area of the carpet. A neighbor told me that they had the same problem and that the management NEVER fixed it. The neighbor simply adapted by buying a wet/dry vac. This is deplorable! So, if you need some place to stay: skip this place!
