I currently live here at the Village of the Damned. The sign says Regency Village but there is nothing Regent about this neighborhood! We moved here in April/2007. I have been miserable since day one! The first thing that the managers and leasing consultants did wrong was place my family and I in the wrong unit, whatever that really meant, because it took them eight days to realize their mistake! The next unit I was forced to move in was not cleaned or renovated before my move. so I had to sterilize and disinfect twice as much and my front door lock was and still is broken! I finally paid for a locksmith to place a bottom lock on my door, (they are not standard). I have never rented an apartment without a bottom lock.

Okay, the sign outside might say that they have 24-hr Maintenance service, HA-HA. They don't even have 8-hour service. You will haft to call for about a month to get thm to respond no matter how serious. And when they come you have this 65-year old man who can't even talk right or remember how to fix something. My shower knobs were painted on, so after taking a few baths they came off, I couldn't take a bath I had to beg the after hours receptionist to page the service man on duty! She told me that not having a knob was not an emergency. Well, I told her if I don't get to bathe until Monday when the office opens up she's gonna have an emergency. That's what I call begging.

I have caught and killed about (14) mice and I swear some looked like baby rats, since April. I asked about the extermination process, I was told that they were working on the outside first, then they were going to start the process inside. Well, I think it was already to late for that, because them infectious little pest were already inside. I never saw any kind of pesticides being administered outside. I have cleaned up droppings that are the size of Rat droppings.

The managers don't follow-up on anything that you report. So I can't understand why they even bother trying to market this property to fill the vacant apartments. If they would do their jobs, which they don't, people wouldn't move out so fast. And I want to announce that I am not a trouble resident. I have not once been late on my rent, Honestly! I clean my house daily, even make my family keep excess food out the trash at night and always take the trash out more than three times a day! So I am not venting because I done something wrong. I just wanted to get that out in the air. The apartments are very spacious. The floors under the carpet and not supported by anything but insulation and some 4x4. So when you or the neighbors walk, talk, eat, sing use the bathroom you will think that they are right in your house!. I can;t understand how Mr. Miles keeps these lazy a** managers without finding out form the tenants what is their take on the community and the service they receive. I missed the reviews on this apartment when I moved!

Unless you don't mind mice and RATS! crawling and pissing and shitting on your stove and belongings, then this is the place for you. Or if you dont't like that kind of living and instead love a safe and clean environment keep looking!!!!!!
