Pretty Decent

I?m impressed with the size. My bedroom is huge, the kitchen is large enough for a small dinette, the balcony is large, and there is a decent sized dining room/living room combination. Compared to my friends who also graduated and live in the area, my apartment is a lot bigger and a lot cheaper (I was lucky enough to get a promotional rent special). Maintenance is pretty efficient, and the complex is surprisingly quiet. You don?t hear car alarms and fire trucks all night, or at all for that matter. Its convenient. I?m within a one mile radius of a Shoppers Food Warehouse, Safeway, Giant, and Super Fresh, as well as a Blockbuster Video and Hollywood Video, 3 pretty large shopping centers, and a metro stop. I commute to Arlington for work and face a 25 minute drive at the most(around 7:00 a.m.). The District and 395 are about 10 minutes away, 495 is a 2 minute drive.
Now, I can?t speak for the whole community. Its not a high rise, there are about 20 garden style buildings with 3 levels/12 apartments each. The one bedrooms are in the same building, which may be why my building is quieter and there are no roaches/pests. There are alot of kids, but of course, none of them live in my building, so I don?t hear/see them that often. There have not been any shootings/robberies/car break ins in the neighborhood since I?ve been there. I?m just really surpised at how quiet it is over here. PG County has a bad reputation, but I?m satisfied so far.
