Poor Property Management

Years at this apartment: 2004 - 2005
This is a poorly run property. Manangemnt has changed twice since I've been on the property. I haven't even lived here a whole year yet and I'm having issues. I am being forced to break my lease because of action not being taken by the leasing office.
Here's the low down...
December 2004: First months rent was not collected upon moving into the community. Several blinds missing from the vertical blinds covering the patio entrance. The remaining vertical blinds are filthy. The bathroom cabinet was rotted and needed to be replaced. The liner of the refrigerator was molded, along with the damaged interior of refrigerator. There were missing window /patio screens, no cover to heating unit (resulting to cats getting into space around and behind the unit), barely manageable lock to the apartment, no community access cards for front gate entrance and we were told to park in visitor parking lot and walk to our building.
January 2005: Due to the first months rent never being collected prior to our entry, Januarys rent doubled with Februarys rent, and we received a notice to appear in court for not paying our rent. In this month, the bathroom cabinet was the only item replaced from our damaged list we gave in December. We were given the wrong access code to gain access to the controlled front gate of the community, but still no tenant access card.
February 2005: After paying doubled rent from January and February to correct the ending balance of our account, we received court papers for the second time to appear in court for not paying our rent. In this month, the vertical blinds were the only thing replaced from the damaged list, but they were extremely filthy. My roommate and I were finally given a code to gain access to the community, but still no tenant access card.
March 2005: The management office continued making mistakes regarding the balance of our rent. Nevertheless, we received yet a fourth notice to appear in court for not paying our rent. Cats we crawling from outside into our ac/heat vent. There was no screen covering that area at this time. My roommate and I were scared to cut on the heat, because the cats may have been stuck in the vent.
April 2005: For unknown reasons we received the third notice to appear in court for not paying our rent. The vertical blinds remained filthy, and the heating unit was boarded up by maintenance to prevent stray cats from sleeping there. Now all of the other units had actual vent covers to prevent things from getting into the heating closets.
May 2005: My roommate and I discovered a leak in our breakfast room. Maintenance came in and pulled up the carpet. We immediately saw and smelled mildew. The put a fan under the carpet to dry the water, stapled the carpet back down and left. Never cleaned the carpet nor did they fix the mildew. The mildew is still there to this day.
Living at Surrey Square is a nightmare. You have been warned.
