Do not rent here under any circumstances!

Years at this apartment: 2002 - 2002
Parking -One parking space allotted by permit only. Parking resident sticker provided by property management with $25 replacement fee if lost. The parking sticker faded on many vehicles which were subsequently towed without investigation at the owners expense because Prop Mgt towing operators were not able to see stickers clearly.
Noise - It was very noisy. The parking lots and hallways were used as social areas by tenants at night. I had neighbors that played TV/stereo at high volumes and fought with extremely loud yelling matches nightly. The property management office does not enforce complaints of noise or loitering by tenants or their guests.
Grounds - The apt. grounds were not maintained well. There were dirt lots where the lawn should've been. Whenever it snowed, the parking area and sidewalks were never treated. The tenants would eventually have to work together and shovel areas for safe walking and driving. The outer building paint peeled/chipped without touch ups applied. Hallways and stair ways were not cleaned. The tenants vacuumed the halls themselves and swept clean the halls of debris. The trash dumpsters overflowed constantly; drawing unwanted pests. There should've been additional trash pick ups.
Safety - The outdoor lighting is poor. When our building security light went out, it was not replaced before 30 days. There was no security surveilance. Gangs patrolled the area for car theft at night. During several theft sprees, 2-3 cars were broken into, stolen, and stripped every week. Several tenants took it upon themselves to check the parking lot between 1am-5am during shifts to ensure that their cars were still there. It is a high crime area for car theft. Individuals come from other areas to shop for cars. It is not safe to walk out at night.
Construction - The fixtures were cheap and broke easily. Cabinets and closet areas needed to be replaced.
Maintenance - Very poor repairs and workmanship ... if they bothered to show up at all after calling the rental office incessantly. My lighting fixtures did not work properly and maintenance could not fix them after numerous attempts. My A/C was broken and was not repaired for 2 months into the summer. There were roaches and other pests which overtook the apt.
Office staff - Pleasant upon arrival; yet rude, slow/non-responsive after you've become a resident. There was notice given upon apt. inspection. You never knew when maintenance would enter you home with a key. I'm sorry to say that I gave a referral when I first moved in; needless to say it took several months and phone calls to the property management office/rental office to recieve the fee.
Tenants rarely stayed beyond 6 months. I would not recommend this apt to anyone.
