I currently have a mouse issue, so I have not even been staying in my apartment. There have been 2 caught on traps in my aparment, and the maintenance told me if they go in and don't see a mouse, there was nothing they could do.
When I did my walk-through and received my keys, I let the rental office know the carpet on my balcony (which was torn lifted, folded and more...) needed to be replaced, and they said okay, well, my lease will be up in just a couple of months and the carpet on my balcony has yet to be replaced.
There was a roach problem in my aparmtne when I moved in, and I called maintenance, and they send someone in, who droped 3 small roach motels and left. We all know that those things don't work, and needless to say, did nothing for the problem. I had to go out and buy products to get rid of them and keep them gone.
Granted, the apartment is spacious, but the walls are super thin, I can hear a whole movie that my neighbor is watching. The kitchen cabinets are just disgusting, the wood peels and chips and you can get splinters.
I absolutely HATE living there, it burns me up inside, to even think I am giving these people my money every month and the place is not liveable. I have contacted the health department and the MD Attorney General's office to try and get some resolution.
Please do not torture yourself by moving here, this place is the worst possible place to move. You would be better off moving to the projects somewhere. I have had my care towed 2 times with my parking sticker, and they charge $185 to get it out. They tell you when you move in, maintenance cannot enter your apartment without someone home, but they do it anyway. You never know when they are going to come, they tell you that when you call them. There was a SHOOT-OUT in the building I live in, because someone tried to break into someone else's apartment and the intruder and the tenet both had guns and both fired them multiple times. The rental office workers are rude and I do not feel it is appropriate to use the words I really want to say. I don't know who hired these people for customer service positions, but they need to re-evaluate.
Please, JUST SAY NO!!!!!
