The comlex has continued to deterioate as low income tenants moved in. I have has my car vandalized three time, and one car stolen. Needless to say crime runs freely. Thugs loiter, and the police will not come when called, unless you tell then the person has a weapon. The property manager attempts to remedy the problem, but there is little that can be done about the children who trash the entrance ways, litter the grounds, and destry the facilities.
I would advise anyone to stay away! I'm stuch here until my lease is up, then I'm gone!

I am also a resident of Potomac Heights and have seen a deterioration over the past seven years that I lived there. At first, they were very concerned about the caliber of people that lived there...but now it seems that they do not. I work very hard and want to come home to peace and quiet. But, if it isn't a problem with the apartment (which the appliances are old and the kitchens and bathrooms need a complete overhaul); it is the children who are loitering inside and out of the building. The office staff is poor and not at all concerned about resident issues. They really only want your rent payment...no service requests, no safety issues...NOTHING. The apartment complex has just been purchased by Berkshire and I am sincerely hoping that their ownership will make a positive difference.

I am getting ready to move to Potomac Heights. Good News - The leasing consultant informed me that they will start remodeling all apts. in Oct '07. The owners will determine which apartments they will start with first. Please let me know if the problems with safety, towing and maintenance still exist. Thank you.

I am also a resident of Potomac Heights and have been there for 1 year and 7 months. I have never had an issue with Management. I guess that's because of how I treat them. Anyway, when I first moved there I moved in with closet doors in the very, very outdated, ugly bathroom. Dirt and nails were on the bathroom and kitchen floors (very very outdated and ugly kitchen as well), there is only one kitchen drawer which was missing. It was reported and someone came the very next day and corrected the issue, however they put in a kitchen drawer that didn't even fit. Kids are extremely loud, outside littering, loitering, and very disrespectful. Cars speeding pass the stop signs and throughout the complex, I don't even let my daughter go outside and play, it's dangerous. And on to the bugs!!!!!!!!!!!!! ROACHES are getting worst. Which sparked my comments. I will be leaving in October! Never looking back at this horrible place. I regret ever living here. Berkshire took over, but I can't wait any longer to get renovations, because in the end the noise level, the trash being thrown throughout the complex, children are off the hook. Good Bye and Good Riddens Potomac Heights. I will never recommend anyone to live here in this mess.

WOW! I moved there in August and I can't STAND being there, like one of the residents said, the roaches are terrible, plus I literally had to threaten them that I will leave this place if the kitchen appliances are updated, once I got the new stove, refrigerator, and hood top, I still wasn't happy, the A/C unit was broke, no electrical outlets in the bathrooms. I can't do this anymore. I was in a bad situation, and had to move someone, I just purchased another home and will be out of there by the end of this month. PLEASE DON'T MOVE TO POTOMAC HEIGHTS! All of us can't be wrong!!!! TERRIBLE PLACE TO LIVE!!
