I've reviewed this property once before when I first moved in and wanted to review again after moving out. I stayed at these apartments for over a year and a half and have to say I loved it. It was perfect for me and my 6 yr old daughter. The community is quiet and convienient to EVERYTHING. Schools, stores etc are all within walking distance. The community also was very quick to respond to any of my issues/problems (which there were not many). I had an upgraded apartment and everything worked great. They also have summer parties at the pool for residents and Christmas Parties in the winter at the club house. I rented a 2 bed 2 bath on the first floor and I would stay there again. I give it a thumbs up! :)

Hello, Just read your response to my review. Sorry you are having a bad experience there but I have to say mine was great. Was perfect for my needs at the time. It is by no means the best place in the world to live but come on...at $1120 for a 2 bedroom in Frederick MD it serves its purpose. IMO Apartments are not meant for people to stay in for life so for me it was a good stepping stone back to where I needed to be. I also did get an "upgraded" apartment which means it had all new carpets, counter tops, appliances, fixtures etc. Maybe you should pay slightly extra and get one...it is worth it. At least for my daughter and I.

This definitely isn't a good place for a child to live. There are some good people living here, but the bad ones have the run of the table because they know they can get away with it. It's only a matter of time until this becomes clear. Regardless of who buys the place (and ownership is a revolving door), the place is consistently poorly managed. There was a fatal shooting about week ago in one of the buildings (10/7). This isn't the first occurrence, either. Both fatal shootings involved drugs and the tenant attacking police. NBC 4 report for the latest case (someone included the report for the other case in the comments for an earlier review): "The shots were reported about 4:30 p.m. Monday at the Sunset Walk apartments. Officers found a man suffering from gunshot wounds. Officers then located a suspect who confronted them with a handgun. Police say that man died during a subsequent exchange of gunfire." As for the rest, "upgraded" just means attending to things that should have been fixed long ago. The buildings are old and the units are cheaply equipped. You can get more for the money, this place is not a bargain by any means. Unless you have very low expectations, I would not recommend staying here.
