I am not a picky person who blame everything. I am here to tell my true experience during my one year stay in Applegate. Applegate is cheaper but not good to live. It is not worth the money EVEN it is very cheap. Why'
1 Ant and roach problem: I moved in this appartment in Feb. 2006 and I didn't notice this problem at all. During summer it appeared so serious. Ants were everywhere in the bedroom. Several hundreds of Roaches wandered around hallway and stair (I swear to tell the truth). The roach crawled into the appartment in the evening. I easily killed more 40 in just 1h. It was like a scary movie. I called office and the lady told me no one made such complaint except me in this building! How can that be!
2 Maintenance: To be honest, most of time they did good jobs. But I could't forgive them because they failed repairing my AC during hotttteeeest week of 2006 summer. I was not able to sleep at all in the evening for 5 days! The explanation from them was too many requests for AC repairing and I was 8th on waiting list!
3 Management: I moved in the middle of Feb. I paid deposit and half month rent first. But the lady forgot putting information into the computer so that I got court paper requesting half-month rent and late fee right after two weeks after I moved in !! what a pleasant experience for a new tenant. They didn't even BOTHER to send me a "late pay" notice.
4 Noise: It was quiet during my first half-year stay. but everything changed after a new neighbour moved in. The guy held party at night (sometime overnight, remeber it was not Saterday, or even Friday) at least twice a week. They drank, sang, screamed and danced. Sometime they yelled and fought each other outside in the parking lot at 2:00 am or 3:00am. I complained this to leasing office but got same answer- nobody complained this EXCEPT me.
