Ok for a while...

Years at this apartment: 2005 - 2006
I lived in Brookside for about a year. These are the best apartments for the money on this side of Frederick. They have the most square footage for the rent over any neighboring apartment complex. The best part is that they have a washer/ dryer in the unit. The maintenance workers were always very polite and usually punctual.
Those are the pros...here are the cons: squeaky floors, paper thin walls (and our neighbors loved karaoke, oh joy...), the office is understaffed so it is hard to get a hold people, lots of outside activity day and night (as a young woman I did not appreciate cat calls and lewd stares from groups of guys hanging out on the stoop on my way in and out of my place...), and since there is often quick turn around of tenants we had many occasions of people banging on our door looking for former residents, heating/cooling system is old and unreliable.
Not bad for transitional housing, wouldn't look here for the long term. And single women beware, I was usually pretty uncomfortable walking around by myself after dark and being home alone. The property is not very well lit.
All in all, Brookside is still my pick over any other apartment complex in the area for affordable short-term housing.
