My wife and I recently relocated to Frederick and will be moving into Camden Clearbrook (CC) in a couple of months. Prior to beginning my apartment search, I did read the comments posted on this site about CC and many other complexes in and around the city. In the course of locating an apartment in Frederick, I discovered that there were approximately 38 different complexes within 8 miles of downtown. Over a period of two weeks I personally visited and toured 12 of these complexes. Out of all of these, there was only one other complex that even came close to providing the quality of life that I feel we will have at CC. We are very excited about moving into our new apartment and feel that we will be very happy there. The Property Manager and Leasing Agents at CC were very helpful and extremely patient with my wife and me as we visited the site several times with many questions. Yes, the complex is still under construction, but those areas that are completed are impressive and well maintained. The apartments themselves look to be very well constructed and the grounds nicely manicured. There were many little things that really impressed us in the apartment; high quality and very soft carpets, deep side-by-side sinks in the kitchen, track lighting, large closets, crown molding, stone front, ample kitchen storage space, etc. These are things that you will not find anywhere else around Frederick. And, the fact that everything is brand new is a nice perk. If you are the type of person that uses the pool and clubhouse, then you will not be disappointed with what you find at CC. The exercise equipment is the nicest I have ever seen at any apartment complex and the pool looks like it will be great once construction is finished. My rating / assessment of this complex is based off of what I saw when I visited CC, and some conversations I had with residents lucky enough to already be living there. My advice to anybody looking for an apartment is that you can only put so much stock in these reviews, including mine. Go check the place out and come to your own conclusions. Lastly, if you want the perfect place to live with no problems and no managers or staff to deal with, buy your own house. Until I am lucky enough to live that part of the American Dream, I will be happy to live in Camden Clearbrook. Best of luck in your search.

The Apartments at Wellington Trace. The Reserve at Ballenger Creek was also decent. These rounded out our top three choices.

I agree, these are the three in Frederick that are the best. I'm going to go get a life now and get off apt ratings!
