I have never lived in an apartment complex that was so poorly constructed and mantained. I don't know what Maryland building codes are but I find it hard to believe this place passed any habitability (noise, fire, electric) inspections. The rent is among the highest in Frederick and the buildings are CRAP!!! There is absolutely no sound proofing, I can hear my neighbors in the unit next to mine as if they were sitting right next to me (when their phone rings I have actually gotten up to answer mine). Units are poorly insulated(if at all). Outdoor security lighting is placed right next to bedroom windows, at night the light shines in as if it were the middle of the day. Trash, papers and old mail is always piled up in the corridors and staff does nothing about it. When I entered my apartment on move-in day the carpets were filthy, stained and had a terrible odor, the bathtubs and toilets were dirty and stained, the kitchen sink drains were clogged, countertops and floors had paint overspray, it took me almost two days to clean the place before I could move in. Not what I expected in 2yr old "luxury" apartments. Sure the place looks nice on the outside...but, what is that they say about lipstick and a pig' BuLYzGcKAVo8MQPlcXJq

I have lived here since 4/06 and the Camden is a great place to live. I have never had a maintenance problem that wasn't addressed immediately and the office staff is wonderful to work with. We really don't want anyone here who is not happy so move on and look for another place in Frederick that is as nice as Camden

The entire community gets the free Valet Trash service. Simple fact. Maybe you missed the flyer left at your door and also were posted in the breezways above the mailboxes with full information as to how the program works. If you look and pay attention to your monthly invoice sent in the mail, you will see that in addition to the $7.00 universal trash (dumpster, you called it) fee item, the other two items on the invoice are a Water/Sewer charge for your unit and a universal Service charge (billing service) which averages a subtotal of $25 for most folks.
And yea, I party with the maintenance guys, I'm in bed with all the management gals, but they still refuse to give me discounts. Dang. And if you believe what I just wrote - well, then I have a used Yugo with only 150,000 miles on it that's for sale for $25. Lighten up, get real, I speak with no forked tongue.

I don't write crap , I write with honesty and integrity, and reasonableness to all parties involved. Emphasis on reasonableness.

...don't expect heat when it gets cold. The heat pump in my apartment has not worked for 2wks now, I have submitted 3 service requests...still no heat. Not a priority until the average high is 50 degrees.

It seems like there are a lot of management posts for this apartment. It's a real turnoff. It actually tipped me away from renting here.
