I work an apartment community located in Frederick, Maryland and have read several reviews and wanted to make a few quick comments about the apartment industry:

The thing about a board like this is- mostly you only get complaints. When you do something right, no one takes the time out of their day to recognize what you did but if you ever fault they are there to point the finger. Although these boards are set up to be a useful tool when locating a place to live-they tend to be contain only the negative comments made by tenants upset for one reason or another. Most of the time it tends to be when someone has damages owed or they want to break their lease and don't want to pay the fees associated. Trust me, even though you do not list your name, we can go back and track who the comments came from. One by the subject you complain about, and two, we know when you move out and it tends to correspond with the date the review is left.

Also, although we are here to manage the property and it is our intention to please every resident, it is not always as easy as you think. Common sense would be, don't throw your trash on the ground or leave it outside your front door; pick up after your dog and dispose of the waste properly; be mindful of your neighbors and keep the noise to a respectful level; throw your cigarette butts and beer cans away....however as I am sure you are well aware, not everyone in this world has common sense or the respect to follow the "rules and regulations" of communities.

I certainly agree! I have seen people in the past who are unruly, disrespectful and trashy; chances are those are the people who complain. To those who complain about rules and all that, face it people: you're not as important as you think you are. Tell us, why do you think you're above everyone else and can't bend over to pick up your dog poo? why do you throw trash out your car door on the parking lots? because it's someone elses problem? no not really, it's YOUR responsibility too to keep the community clean, and neat, and pretty. Just because you pay money to rent a place doesn't mean you absolve your responsibility to live like a decent human being!

This is here to review the apartment complex not to voice your concerns about people who don't have common sense and to make threats to those who voice their opinions!!
