Elmwood Terrace Apartments

What a horrible place. From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 11/7/2003 Years at this apartment: 2001 - 2002   When I moved to Frederick, I wasn't sure of the area. I went to visit Elmwood Terrace and It looked very nice on the outside. The people at the front desk duped us into moving in by showing us the model apartment. This was fine because it ended up being the actual apartment we got. Little did we know that there must have been a 400 pound woman upstairs with a need to clean at all hours of the night. Whenever she walked back and forth(which was CONSTANTLY) the ceiling creaked. I have never heard anything like that before. My paintings would constantly fall off the walls from the woman above walking around. Not a very quiet apartment at all!! There were no washer and dryer hook up in the apartment. So if you needed to do laundry you would have to lug your dirty laundry up two flights of stairs to the washer and dryer. Oh yeah...The washer costs a dollar a load. And this is a very small washer. The dryer is big enough but it costs a dollar to dry. When we finally moved out, we had to wait four months for our deposit back. I beleive they had no intention to send it. We had to write a nasty letter to the actual company that owned the place. This is the kicker. The garbage dumpsters were right out front of the apartment. Whenever the garbage trucks would come they would bang the dumpsters while handiling them. All at FOUR IN THE MORNING!!!! This place is rent controlled which means ANYONE can live here. Its not safe at all. Dont even bother with this place. It's not worth the low cost. If you want a beautiful apartment that is worth the cost, go to residences at the manor. Qlkxv6lfLuuXn3BrtpO7
