I will run out of space if I were to tell you about the horros at elmwood terrace but here are two problems out of the many I have expirienced here.

I used to live on the ground floor in building S, the
floors upstairs were so bad that you could hear the
people upstairs walking around. Every little step they
took, the floors creaked. It wasn't the people who
were loud, but the deplorable floors are so lousy that
they creak just like old wooden bridges do. I could also
hear the loud pipes of my neighbors taking showers,
think of the loud sounds hot kettles make and multiply
that noise by 10. After months of complaining about
these things to the office staff and manager, nothing
was done. I called the Regional manager in Virginia
and the Home Office in NY. After making several phone
calls and having headache inducing arguments, they
finally decided to move me into a different building (on a
3rd floor) almost two months ago. They initially said
I would have to pay a higher price for the apartment
in the new building, can you imagine! After arguing
about the price back and forth, they decided to let me
keep my current rent rate. I had to pay all the moving
expenses, you would think they would foot the bill for
all the inconveniences they caused me but NO, not
these people.

After being in this new building for just a month and a half,
they found out last week that the bathtub walls in my new
apartment were leaking water to the second floor. They
said they will have to take the walls down on Tuesday
9/25 and that they will put it back up on 9/26 so I will
only miss a shower for 1 day. The walls were taking down on
Tuesday,I got home Wednesday and the bathroom was not
completed as they said it would. They said it would be
done the next day instead (Thursday 9/27). Well today
is Thursday and still, it is not complete. I called
the office to find out why a project that is suppose
to take 24 hours is taking this long. I was told the
manager is out, the next person in charge is out. I
asked the person I m speaking with to provide me with
some information and he basically told me he s just a
leasing consultant and doesn t know anything. I began
to tell him how inconvenient they were being to me and
he HUNG UP on me. I have no bathroom for an apartment
I m paying rent for, a project that was suppose to
take 24 hours is taking 4 days now and I got hung up on
for expressing my displeasure. INCOMPETENCE,
INCONSIDERATE, THY NAME IS ELMWOOD TERRACE!

Move to elmwood terrace if you enjoy inconveniences and
extremely incompetent and rude office staff.
