I needed a place to live for one year while working in D.C. I looked at several places in Frederick (used this rating service to find all of them). For the reasonable price, I got a well-managed, clean, quiet place that I would recommend to anyone. The complex is at the end of two streets, surrounded by a cemetery, so it is always quiet and there is little traffic.

Best points: mgmt is very attentive to maintenance needs and noisy neighbors. They always take the appropriate action very fast.

Pet peeves: They tuck a reminder notice in the door every month, listing the date on which late fees will be assessed and eviction actions started. It's kind of like the "pay, then pump" attitude at the gas station: I am never late and I don't like the threatening notices every month.
