I have lived at Hunter's Glen for a little over a year. When I take into account how much I pay for rent, I'm happy with the complex. When I moved in, it was brand new carpet, and all brand new appliances. They do have roaches, but its only a few, occasionally. They spray on a regular basis and they stay away for several months. Roaches are survivors, there is only so much that can be done, and the management seems to try. We have had AC problems many times. I think the AC suffers from severe design flaw. Almost every central AC unit I have ever seen is outside and on the ground. But these are in the apartment. The intake is in the living room, so when it kicks on, its very difficult to hear. Usually, if the AC isn't working, I call and they have it fixed within a few hours. There was one time that took a week to fix. It was so hot one night that my wife and I stayed in a hotel, because our apartment was unbearable. The staff is always polite and helpful, and the maintenance gets done quickly and with the one exception of the AC last summer, its done well. The neighborhood is ok. The complex behind ours and across the street from ours are a bit sketchy looking to me, and I have seen fights break out several times from my window. Our complex is ok. I work odd hours, so I come and go during different parts of the day, and I've never seen anything that would concern me. My neighbors are friendly, quiet, and for the most part keep to themselves. There are a lot of families. Parking leaves a lot to be desired. It depends on where you live in the complex. On the street side, there is a lot more parking, but on the interior side, you're competing with a lot of vehicles. Most of the tenants are families and so they have more than one car. But there isn't really much that can be done. There just isn't room for more parking. It isn't a perfect place. The apartments are a little small. But for the price, which is on the low side from what I've seen in Frederick, it's not bad. I renewed MY lease.
