Too expensive! Becoming dangerous! 9/4/05 Review below was written by an employee.

Update! 9/05

Yes, I'm still here 3 years later. So you might think-'It can't be that bad.' I'm just stuck because of finances.

Maintenence is ridiculous. From the subpar day-labor landscapers (I know more than they do!) to the 'cover-up' fixes by the regular maintenence people.

The people they let move in are ridiculous as well. We have at least two certified drug-dealers just within the immediate 3 buildings closest to us. The first year we moved in there was a drug related murder within the complex. Scary stuff! It's one thing having neighbors who are so stupid/immature that their area around their apartment looks like an ashtray but it's even worse when you find out they are staying up all night on meth. I usually feel safe, but not all the time.

They continue to raise the rent while the quality of living here continues to go down. In addition, residents are now responsible for a water/sewer bill. When they first passed the water/sewer off on the residents the bill was about $25-$30. Now it hovers just below $50 every month. Wow! $50 for water' Along with a raise in rent'

Old opinion-
Kingscrest is situated in a very nice neighborhood, surrounded by half million dollar houses. It is a very nice place, but the apartments themselves are not that great. The walls have, I´m not exaggerating here, a quarter inch of white paint on them. They just go through and Wagner power-paint EVERYTHING. The trim is coming off all the cabinets. All and all they just charge too much for rent ($975--update! $1070 rent $50 water/sewer as of 9/05). I´ve also heard they are subtlely hostile to pet owners. I have pets and have had no problems yet but I do hate walking to the other end of the complex to the ´Doggy-Pot´ to get pet waste bags. They recently left notices on the doors warning people that if they did not pick up after their dogs they would be kicked out. Seems a little harsh when all they would probably need to do is install more ´Doggie-Pot´ stands across the complex. The carpets are really old as well. All and all it is an ok place but again they charge way too much rent with too little service. Oh, and the current leasing agents and the complex managers are so incredibly rude and seem unable to solve even the smallest of problems.
