Not perfect, but the best in the area

I liked living in Kingscrest. The apartments are nice, spacious (965 sq ft in our 2-bedroom), quiet, and parking is plentiful. The washer/dryer in our apartment worked great. Maintenance was always quick, and the fitness center looked nice (and open 24 hours), though we never used it. The office staff has always been polite, capable, and accommodating to me.
We had two problems that we complained about, but that went unsolved - the dishwasher often left crispy things glued to our glasses, and the vanity in the bedroom made noise for hours after using it (so much that it kept us awake at night and we had to stop using it altogether).
Smaller problems that we never complained about were the short pool hours (closes at 7:00 during the summer), "business center" with constantly-broken equipment, excessive - almost painful - water pressure in the shower, bathroom fixtures that were so tight you have to be Superman to turn on the tap, and the management constantly left notes on doors (which is like advertising to thieves that you aren't home yet - it should be done sparingly).
There are a lot of features that were attractive when we were looking for a place, so we paid a lot to get them ($925/month) but found that we never used them. Overall, I think that Kingscrest is the best you will find in Frederick. You do pay for that position though; they were the most expensive place I found.
