In the year that my family and I have resided at the Manor, there have been muggings at gunpoint, vandalism, theft, and unacceptable noise. The staff treat the residents like a burden and an annoyance. We spent over four months with extremely noisy drug dealing neighbors above us, and then management failed to take action until we threatened to leave. Even then, it took months, and the week we'd been given permission to finally break our lease and leave, the management evicted the noisy neighbors. When our car was broken into, the staff had absolutely no comment or concern. When a neighbor was held at gunpoint outside our apt, the management promised to add more lighting outside the building and to trim back the trees for safety. They never did these things, and the incident was last summer. The Manor uses the term "luxury" quite loosely. The area is far too dangerous to reside in without having a gated community. I don't recommend.

I have lived in Frederick my whole life...10 years ago even the Manor was where all us high school girls whould go to party with less then suitable males...it has had a reputaion and still does for the young "should be in college" stoner crowd.

You are so right when you say that about the crime rate in that area. If you don't believe who wrote that, check out the demographics (crime rate for the area) at the Frederick City web site. It's amazing how many people in one year have gotten raped, killed, and thousands of thefts and burglaries and break-ins. Just in one year. Sounds like Baltimore and it looks like it if you lived here to see it. Not to mention the schools are very low scoring and have been Title 1 for the past 2 years which means they are low performing schools which is not too good if you have children. You can look any schools at schooldigger.com to get the ratings.
