I've been here at the Manor for 5 weeks and live on Baker Place EAST second floor new apt buildings,so I can ONLY speak for this spot.The staff is very friendly, things are fixed that need fixing, promptly,it's quiet.The layout of the apt is great, LOTS of shelves are in place,lots of storage cabinets.Lots of mirrors to.The closets are REALLY big!The small bedroom has floor to ceiling mirror doors on closet,floor to ceiling windows.The flooring in kitchen[squares] needs to be glued down better[haven't called maint. about it yet],carpet is light colored so gets dirty looking quick, sometimes we hear kid running around upstairs,All GE appliances but that's all I can say so far.Everything is around no more than 10 minutes from here Depot,Mall,Dollar store Baskins,Gro.,parks,DOWNTOWN Frederick is COOL!! People walk up and down streets look at all the shops very romantic! LOTS more!It's so clean here!inside the apt and out!I sound like I'm selling something I know but I'm just telling how I really do see it.I hope things are what they seem cause I'M LOVIN IT!!!I'll post again in a few months.One month free rent,really LOW deposit is what caught my eye as I was looking for a place.We rent a parking spot[$15]a month [right in front of our building], so we KNOW we won't have to walk far.Lots of people have pets.The few people I've met so far are really nice and 2 of them said they've lived here 5 years with no problems. I haven't seen not one bag of trash in front of anyones door.The dumpsters are at both ends of parking lot.Did I mention it's quiet'Did I mention how pretty the flowers are' that the grass is always cut,that the lighting is great at night'I would like to say so much more but instead I'll just say, I believe my prayers were answered.

Man, that's to bad, to the lady talking about the demographics and don't move to The Manor. I'm really sorry your exp. here has not been a good one.My exp. has been a wonderful one.When I first moved here I put a review on here titled "I Love Living Here" after just 5 weeks and I truly still love it! I have never,so far[it now being about 7 months]had not one problem or seen anything going on, at The Manor,that would make me worry.I don't,however,walk around after around 7:00, because a lot of people walk their pets. I have 2 girls 11 and 15 going to school at Waverley Elem. and Gov. Thomas Johnson High and I am so very happy they get along so well at the schools and with the teachers.They LOVE going to school.The teachers at Waverley Elem. have really noticed my daughters strong areas, they ask her if she wants to join or do this or that to strengthen her talents.They know my name at the school,and praise is something they do a lot of!My oldest used to ask me if she could stay home a lot before we moved here.It is a big high school though,I think I'd like her at a smaller one, personally. I hear what your saying but maybe I haven't seen any worrisome things because, I think,one or more cops actually live here. There have been a couple of domestic disputes at the same apt. but that's all I've seen so far. Everything has remained the same, when it comes to what I said about this place earlier at 5 weeks.It's so peaceful and they sweep and keep it so nice and clean here. Packages are left at my front door by UPS,so far, no one has taken anything, my neighbors have said the same about their packages.Maint. is STILL excellently on time.The staff at the office is very helpful if I need to know something. My girls and their friends LOVE going to hang out at The rec. room at The Manor,pool table,board games, fancy tea making machine,computer /office! My girls finally are able to move around without me[as long as they take a buddy]. I am LOVIN it here even more than I was because ,what I thought it was like,really IS what it's like here,to me!

Obviously you are uneducated about the actual quality of the schools in the area which is why most wealthy Frederick county parents pay for private schools. Same goes for your lack of knowledge in the crime/gang/theft area. Since you have two girls you also might want to look on the national sex offender registry list. Turn around they are all around you. And police may live there because they have guns and special training in hand to hand combat. If they were afraid of criminals then they wouldn't be too good at their jobs. Plus its one of the less expensive places in Frederick and officers don't make that much. BTW-I am a guy and you referred to me as a lady.

Na_ah, I wouldn't be throwing around the word "uneducated", obviously you didn't do YOUR homework before moving or before you wrote this. City locations have the highest amount of people living in a concentrated area, so of course the maps, etc. are going to show a higher rate of crime. Frederick County, such as Ballenger Creek or Walkersville, actually has a higher percentage of sex offenders based on less people live in those areas than the city. Sex offenders buy homes more than not, to avoid criminal background checks, and from being told they have to move out by the landlord. By the way, I am a retired cop and we live where we WANT to.
