I've lived here for over a year, after being unable to find another place within the time alotted I had to resign to avoid a $200 increase if I went month to month. Rent still went up $100 a month after signing for another year. Now throughout my experience, washer/dryer oven, temperature guage for heat/AC, drafty/poor insulation, VERY loud neihgbors and useless staff....have ALL been recurring issues. Our oven has been replaced twice and still we have problems cooking simple things, our temperature guage for the heat/AC is still off by about ten degrees and affects our bill as such, heat constantly kicking back on due to lack of insulation, paint cracking on ceiling in numerous spots. Keep in mind this building is about 2-3 years old. Staff is rarely helpful in most matters, maintenance come when they please and ignore notes on the accounts (i.e- call before arrival, so we can put pets away), simple things take a week to address. Recently I looked into the transfer option when I wanted to downgrade within their complex to a cheaper apartment, if I break the lease and move outside of their complex I pay a full months rent and have to give two months notice, if I downgrade to one of their other apartments, I have to pay a $350 transfer fee, get deposit refund, and give another one right back for the same amount as the more expensive apartment. You would think if they want eight months more rent from me they would waive that transfer fee as opposed to getting only a lease break fee from me. Nope, no accomodation whatsoever, it is "policy", if so please don't send a flyer out making it sound like your out to help your residents and you MIGHT want to mention the rediculous fee in said flyer. Most of the staff act like they could care less about you as a resident and same goes for maintenance. Oh, and the area itself is pretty crime free, with the exception of the surrounding area all around it, expect rocks and other debris to be thrown over the fence into parked cars by the cheaper/ghetto apartments' residents surrounding the complex and the occaisional vehicle break in that the leasing office will do nothing about. I've lived here for a few years. There has never been a rent increase of $200.00. On a 12 month lease it usually goes up $15-$20.00. You sound spoiled. Maintenance is great and responds quickly. Also crime has no zip code. All the communities have issues from time to time. IDIOT!!!!
