Don't expect much from management. When we moved in we were given two keys. One worked but my roommates never worked. He was given three other keys that never worked. We work very long hours and just don't have time to deal with this type of thing so we just copied my key and we were all set. We are the type of tenants that tend to do things ourselves and don't expect much from management. However, after living there for about two months a leaked developed in the ceiling. We placed numerous calls to the office. I must have taken them a month to even look at it. Finally, when they did come out they just put a bucket under the leak. Eventually the plaster fall all over the place and the wall started to crack. After this happened we told the office again and finally someone came out and removed the plaster and put a lite coat of paint.
Now on to the present situation. In the past three months we have had two watches and a MP3 player stolen. My roommate and I leave at the same time for work and we made it a habit to only lock the dead bolt since the bottom lock is useless. But upon our return the top lock and the bottom lock are both locked. This was a sure indication that someone had been in our apartment. We called the police and filed a report. He told us to change the locks even if management wouldn't. He told us it is not uncommon for past tenants to retain keys. We also notified the management and they changed our locks and are investigating. i will update if they actually do anything.
Additionally, when we moved in the carpet was nasty and sticky. The office did send people to clean the carpet twice, but it was still nasty. We ended up just renting a steam cleaner from the local Giant and that made it all better.
Finally, it is kind of humorous but when your neighbors do their laundry you can feel the vibrations in your apartment. Noise hasn't been a problem and that has been a blessing.
So you be the judge is this some place you would want to live'
