I went into Oakwood with the idea that I was finding a place for a couple of years and was happy to get out of there after 12 months without hurting someone!

Let's start with the staff--In the initial sales phase, more than helpfull, if not exactly honest. (Most of the utilities they claim are included in the rent are not!) Also make sure the lease your signing is for the type of apartment that you agreed on they have had some problems with tenants showing up and handing them keys to a smaller apartment and then saying that it's all that's available or that this it is what you agreed on. Always not their fault. Found this out through a couple of friends.


Afterwards you get the feeling that you are being intrusive just by entering the office.They also have someway of tracking your utilities and if you make a late payment on any of them, you get a note stuck in your door letting you know that they know. My bills, my business! This also goes for the rent--even if it isn't late. They constantly hound you.

I have a laundry list of complaints--from repair time to access to the fact that you are forced to use their phone service. The overall opinion is that you would be better off anywhere else than here.
