Rent increase through the roof

Years at this apartment: 2005 - 2006
 
I got a 12% increase from my current rent of $1200. I couldnt believe my eyes and called the office to check if they made any mistake. Nope thats the going rate. I dont know what are these guys thinking the apartment is old, the shelves are poor quality, all appliances are atleast 20 years old. Beware a single bedroom is $1300/month. Not worth the money.
