Going down with new management

Although the complex was not cheap (needs a global renovation of buildings, windows, floors, appliance, etc), I liked it with Archstone. Since end of 2008 apartments are under different name (The Crossings) and with different management company (does not worth to be mentioned). It looks like they are "falling down" rapidly. People in the office are pleasant but apart from it the team (administration, service, etc) is not professional. E.g., they response to service request quickly (unfortunately not as quick as Archstone team did). However, it could happen that they did not fix/service what you wanted and so you needed to prove that the work had not been done yet. Another example is they probably not good with book keeping: my overpayment to utilities company which goes through apartment management company was never credited back. And the last, despite of such non-professional work of the crew and bad condition of the complex itself they are increasing rental fee 4%! Do not recommend to go there.

I am also looking for a new place. Where did you move in?

I agree with what you posted. The new management does not come any where close to Archstone. That's why I broke my lease and moved from the complex. The units are old and in dire need of renovations. They shoudl be ashamed of themselves for increasing the rent. If anything they should be giving all the tenants 4% off of their rent....
