Years at this apartment: 1999 - 2000
I lived there from April 1999 to April 2000. I remember that the rent was $850 for 1BR. I was a single guy and it was a perfect apartment at the time. I have no real complaints about anything; the pool was usually empty, the fitness room was free and nice, and the office staff (when I lived there) was very nice. The only bad marks are the laundry room - my girlfriend was almost quasi-assaulted by one of our special neighbors ( i think that my neighbors were in a rehab program - they just smoked and hung out on their balcony all day), and the fact that I had to pay $20 bucks (not refunded) because I did not hand in the parking sticker when I moved out.
The utilities were high, it is Montgomery County, and the area in general was pretty safe.
Oh yeah, the tennis courts (part of the complex') are in the middle of a park which is kind of weird.
Based on my 1999-2000 observations, it was pricey then (and probably now) but for a single guy, not too bad. My apartment was in the last building on West Side Drive and it faced the park.
