Brighton Village is a good place to live.
The environs are safe, well kept, and quiet. The property management seem helpful and efficient. It is 200 meters (walking distance) from an international food store, which has great produce at the best price in the area.
The construction is cheap (nowadays most modern construction is only built to be torn down) and one can hear neighbors somewhat, but I imagine this quality is the same for any low-rise suburban rental property.
In any case, neighbors are quiet and very well-behaved, and the locale is a good place for children.
However, I have had two experiences of theft. One was when the hubcaps were stolen off my car parked outside my apartment during the night. The more shocking other was when my baby stroller was stolen from outside my apartment building entrance between 1300h and 1500h.
