I just moved into Cider Mill this month. You have to me an entomologist to love this place. I haven?t seen as may ROACHES in my life as I have seen at Cider Mill. They seem to be just about everywhere, in the kitchen (in spite of nor having much food stuffs) and in all the rooms. The other day one of my room-mates started screaming at night and woke all of us up because there was a MOUSE running down his pajamas. I saw some of the other comments in this forum saying what a maginificent place this is, and I wonder if it is because they haven?t lived here too long, or whether they don?t live on the 1st floor like I do.



Welcome to Cider Mill where the carpets are worn, the cabinets & appliances are old, and the general atmosphere is dreadful.



Since I am from India, I have absolutely no problem with the other ------- around. All the people I have seen so far are either ------- (I think the majority), some --------- and some ------- Americans -- In any case, the common feature that unites everyone if that they like cheap rent with all utilities included. Having said that, if I was White I would feel EXTREMELY uncomfortable and wouldn?t want to live here.



By the way, the other poster is absolutely right, ------- were not involved with 9/11 -- So sod off! ------- pose less of a security risk to the US than gun-toting Texans do.



By the way, Cider Mill has hired a new Property Manager (an Indian), and if any one will take the place to the ground, it is him. This guy has questionable ethics and a penchant for doing things under the table. "Yes, Siree. I will get that fixed just for you". Wink. Wink.



The other thing you might wanna consider about Cider Mill is ocassionally getting mugged. A friend I know got mugged at knifepoint when he was moving in. The thug took all his money , and my friend has been so scared since the incident that he rarely ventures out at night.



The good point about Cider Mill is that the LakeForest Mall is right across the street. There is a Safeway nearby but their prices are horrendous. There is a Woodlands (Indian restaurant) too, but I spent a day in the john after eating there. There is an elementary school in Cider Mill itself, but you don?t wanna send your children there -- Go check their dubious record from the Montgomery County Public Schools Department -- ?nuff said.



So there... I recommend everyone to check out any of the newer rental apartment complexes in the area. One such place is Orchard Pond near Shady Grove which even though the reviews in this forum say is not as good, I feel that it is much, much better than this dump.
