Lets see...where to begin. Half the time, the washers and dryers aren't working properly so we need to load our clothes into the car and go to a local laundromat to have clean clothes. During the winter season, if it snows, the sidewalks are the unsafest due to incompetence either in the Maintenance Department or the Management who, when you walk in on them, are usually too busy to deal with you because they're on the phone talking to their boyfriend or girlfriend. They lack the understanding that this is a huge apartment complex and when it starts snowing, SOMEONE SHOULD BE OUT THERE SALTING AND SHOVELING...I guess in Central and South America, there isn't enough snow so, to the maintenance personell (you must speak Latino to understand them or they play stupid), this is no big emergency. Montgomery County Law states that Apartment Complexes must have the sidewalks cleared of snow and ice 24 hours after a snow storm. This does not happen at Cider Mill Apts. Parking is another nightmare. There is no assigned parking and on some weekend nights, when everyone and thier brothers seem to use up all the spaces, you'll be lucky to find a space. There were a couple of times we came home late and had to park almost 2 blocks away because there is inadequet parking enforcement (the security are Rent-A-Cop wannabes).
The Lease Agreement states that any Maintenance problems will be addressed within 24 hours or the next business day. Right. That's what the agreement says, but that's not what happens. A clogged bathroom sink in a 1 bath apartment (which is what we have) was not addressed until a week later. A Broken dishwasher took 2 weeks to address. All in all...I would not recommend living here unless you have no other options.
