Petition Cider Mill:
http://www.cidermillpetition.homestead.com/p I moved to Cider Mill 6 years ago, it was a nice, quiet, pleasant neighborhood. I ilked it a lot and even reccommended it.
Who was to know the hell that was to come' In the past couple years, I have really come to hate it here.
Right now there is a drug party going on in my courtyard. It's 2:30pm, it's a lovely afternoon. At least it would be, if I could open my windows. This happens at least 4 days of the week, including weeknights at 2 in the morning. I have sent e-mails to Cider Mill and to Home Properties. I have called the police. The "courtesy patrol" doesn't patrol, even when I have specifically requested that they watch my courtyard. I would like to be able to sleep at night, but that's a dream in the midst of a nightmare.
Last year, after never having roaches, the entire building was swarmed. The exterminators were surprised that I was the only apt that didn't have them, but that was only because I taped over the gaping holes around the sink pipes (thats how the roaches get from apt to apt).
There are always beer bottles and cans in the courtyard, and garbage up and down the stairs.
I have e-mailed Home Properties and Cider Mill repeatedly. I have been told that there would be lease violations issued against the people destroying the neighborhood... well if it had been done, this would have stopped. I have called and called, then have called the police because Cider Mill said that's what I have to do, that they are not responsible for the behavior of their other residents!
A couple years ago my son and I both had pneumonia, because the heater was broken for a couple of weeks, and they insisted that the equipment was simply not effecient for the cold weather (what'''). This occurred as we were preparing to transfer to bigger apartment in a different building, so they simply didn't want to repair it. They refused to allow us to stay until we no longer had 103 degree fevers, so we had to move practically dead.... my son had to go to the emergency room. (The other courtyard was nicer, probably because it was closer to the swimming pool). We can't move to another apt complex at present, so we are stuck at Cider Mill.
They turn off the heat and the airconditioning at night. We both have asthma and have had attacks at night in the summer because of this.
If you ask them to paint (they should after a few years!), they offered to pay for the paint if I did it myself, then return the empty cans to them!
They did recently replace the laundry epuipment. They made a major point of that when they responded to one of my numerous e-mails, as if it makes up for everything.
I just want to open my window.
