Every time I get an email notice of another review written about this complex, I think to myself, "ok, someone else got evicted and wants to trash the place". So what's it like' The one bedroom apartment is large, almost 720 sq.ft. There is no problem with noise from neighbors above or beside, great insulation and solid concrete floors inbetween. My car has never got a ding in it, plenty of parking. My wife and I can walk the complex, or walk to the mall or Trader Joe's and never have had a problem. We have seen only two roaches in over 4 months and those came from outside. Sprayed the doorway and never saw one again. Mgt is EXTREMELY responsive to any maintenance problem.
If anyone is looking at apartments, come up here on a Friday or Saturday night. Park your car and just walk around. ANYWHERE you desire. You'll see first-hand that the crapola put in some of these reviews is from some ticked off tenant that just got evicted for too much noise or music, or thinking that they can party in the public areas. Does it happen' Could you see people drinking outside' Yes. Anyone who has ever lived in a complex knows that all kinds of undesirables can move in and either the process of convincing them to act responsibly or the act of evicting their butts out can take time. However, if you have a problem of ANY kind, let management know about it and they will act on it.
This isn't a house, it is a large complex. We've been here over three years and if we weren't moving now to a house, we would renew. Again. For the fourth time.
And I am difficult to please. 19 years of education is now paying off so I get to move.
Now, take advantage of the fact that you can come and see for yourself. Come at what should be the worst day/time of the week for people acting ignorant. And then you will see that some of the reviews on here were written by ignorant people.
There are good and bad people here. Just more good than bad. This ain't no house

If you want to rent here, I advice you to go to the police station and request a criminal activity report in the apartment complex. THIS IS NOT A SAFE APARTMENT COMPLEX

UM NO...whoever wrote this works for Cider Mill, if you want to see things for yourself I agree with the comment below. Go and see for yourself on a friday or saturday night...and do as this person said park your car and walk around go ahead and if your a female you'll find yourself getting harrassed by the spanish males in the complex, I am a spanish female so no discrimination or anything I just know the facts because I did live there and didnt get evicted I jsut chose not to renew because it is insane.

wow! this reviewer must be on crack! i really thought the 700 1 bedroom apt for this price was worth it. i mean..."come on how unsafe can gaithersburg, md be?" it isn't DC? right. well, let's just say. that after being harrassed everyday (i am a single woman) by the many, many residents...and multiple calls to the local police department....i tried to get out of my lease. i am not mentioning the rodent infestation because come on..i expected it (it's cheap to live here). but from a safety standpoint. this place is very scary. my apartment has been broken into multiple times. i've tried to get out of my lease, but residence services is very distant. multiple police reports, multiple breakins. and being harrassed by pot smoking, corona drinking neighbors...i'm over it. i have been staying with a friend (at another complex) while riding out my lease. so to wrap things up. the person who wrote this ridiculous review must have just moved from iraq. cause this place is very dangerous (especially if you are a single woman). just call the gaithersbur police department.

Excuse me but I would NOT recommend this place. I have lived here for over a year and am counting the days until my lease ends. By the way I pay my rent each month faithfully on time and am in no danger of being evicted so I'm not some irresponsible tenant. You must work for Cider Mills to be posting such CRAP!

I've already posted one review and just want to add to whats already been stated if you are using this site to make a determination on whether to rent or not. Please do not be fooled by this employee of Cider Mill. This place is horrible if you have kids most likely they will be playing in the carpet and find mice feces every where. It is spacious, but you cant enjoy the space if your forced to live in your living room because of the bedbugs. Cider Mill is by far the worst complex in Gaithersburg and by the way I also paid rent every month on time.
