Cider Mill apts. has been my worst resident experience of my entire life!!!!
See the below complaints:

1. Mice Problem: One month after I moved in I saw "mice" droppings on my counter top and mice running around my apartment like they were paying rent. When I contacted resident services, they sent a a maintenace guy out with "sticky traps" and "rat posion". I had 13 sticky traps throughout my 3 bedroom apartment and no dead mice to show for it. I called the health department and told them about my mouse problem. The maint. man came with his traps and posion...and still no dead mice. I decided to get a cat to keep the mice away. That worked but the cat hair is everywhere.

2. Management sucks and are very unresponsive to the needs of the management.

3. High Crime: I hear more police sirens here than when I lived in PG County.

4. The walls are very thin, I can hear "all" my neighbors music

You know it's funny, people tend to stereotype PG County (where I grew up and lived for 30 years before moving to the Cider Mills hell hole) as a ghetto place but Montgomery County is just as bad if not worse! I hear police sirens outside my window pretty much every night and it wasn't that bad when I was living in PG county (and the part of PG where I lived was pretty close to SE, DC)! But it's so ghetto at Cider Mills, it's ridiculous! I'm tired of seeing mice droppings in my apartment, the lazy maintenance workers, dog poop outside my door in the courtyard because the dog owners are too lazy to clean it up, not to mention the weed heads that live around me and treat the place like their personal drug playground. I've seen two different eviction notices already on my neighbor's apartment doors, so what does that tell you about this place? No wonder I have so many nasty critters in my place if people are too lazy to pay their own rent on time each month and are getting kicked out! Boy I can't wait to move at the end of this year!

it is only a matter of time before the health department closes down this place. and i bet the immigration authorities are just dying to get there hands on this place. if any single american women are thinking about renting from cider mill...think again. it's extremely unsafe. if you value your health, safety and overall quality of life. rent somewhere else....maybe try PG county (as stated above)--i did and i'm much much happier.

3. High Crime: I hear more police sirens here than when I lived in PG County. No Kidding: the fire dept. and police dept. are right around the corner you dolt. Of course you're going to hear alot of sirens. Anytime they are called out to go anywhere, not just locally, you will hear them. Duh. It doesn't mean Cider Mill isn't safe.
