My husband and I did a lot of apartment searching in April 2004 before settling on Grove Park. We moved from PA for employment and didn't know much about the area. This was our first place on our own so we were caught quite unaware. As the saying goes if it seems too good to be true it probably is. And Grove Park is no different. The apartment we chose was "newly renovated" but all they did was add bottom of the line appliances and flooring. My husband liked the track lighting and I liked the washer & dryer so for the money we thought this was the most spacious of all those we looked at.

Since moving in we've had continuous problems. We understand that this is an apartment but shouldn't everyone else, too' No one respects other people's property or general well being. The people above us have either kept us wake by their loud music/fighting or woken us up at early hours...on work nights. We have multiple dents in our cars due to others just slamming their doors into them. Tenents let their kids run wild. They've drawn on our cars and sat on them. How about some supervision for the little devils' I've had mutiple packages stolen from my doorway, but the postman should be smart enough to know it's an apartment and this will happen. The whole property has an electrical problems...the power serges but doesn't go off completely yet isn't enough to fully run a lamp. However, there aren't any safety lights in the buildings' halls (which has to violate more than one safety regulation) so you could easily be raped or fall. The water has been turned off without warning because sewage was backing up into apartments. And to top if off--(you'll love this) one Monday night around 12:30AM a strange man came pounding on our door aparently stabbed in the arm/hand. This happened in the parking lot of our building.

I wasn't going to write a review because I figured these occurances were pretty typical but the stabbing was too much and everyone needs to know. If only I'd found this site sooner and read all the other reviews.
