When I first moved here, I was very discouraged by some of the reviews that I read on this website. However my experience at Grove Park has been somewhat different than some of the other reviewers.

I am fortunate enough to have very respectful and courteous neighbors, who recognize that this is a family building. Aside from the advertisements that one of my neighbors chooses to throw on the floor outside of the mailbox instead of taking inside to their own trash, my building isn't bad. My solution is to purchase a nice trashcan to place right under the mailbox, for the purpose of keeping the hallways clean. My thought is that if I were living in a single family home, and some stranger threw trash in my yard I wouldn't hesitate to pick it up, so whenever I'm walking in my neighborhood if I see trash, I pick it up. If enough members of this community approach it the same way, WE can overrun those with a ghetto mentality. I refuse to allow my building to become ghetto.

As for prostitutes and drug dealers, I walk my dog every night, and am not even slightly fearful. I've never seen a prostitute...nor have I been propositioned for drugs. Of course, I have seem some suspicious activity during the summer over in the playground area late at night - but I don't go to that area. Only once have I seen some characters that seemed a little shady. But criminals lurk everywhere...even in the Kentlands :0) I will say that there is a disparity in the quality of life in the different sections in this very large development. I just praise God that I seem to be in an area where drugs, bugs, prostitutes and noise are not accepted.

I have had excellent service from the management and especially the maintenance staff. They have never failed to answer a call in a timely fashion, and have gone above and beyond what is expected. Because of the cheap locks that are on the doors, I puchased new locks immediately upon moving in, and placed a chain on my door for added security. One of the maintenance men volunteered to install the locks and chain. To cut down on the dust that circulates, I requested that air filters be changed twice a month instead of every other month. That request was met as well.

I have added some personal to my home, and am very pleased living here. There are some things that could stand for improvement. But as things stand, I plan on living here until at least 2009. SROlYjGrgm2VnM-SactV

Okay....obvious your an EMPLOYEE there...YEAH right. Bull-Sh^% PEOPLE this place sucks..."The Donaldson Group"...bought this Property..and it sucks!!!....the price is going way through the Roof!!!!.....

Yeah has to be a employee or better yet taking drugs this can not be the same Grove Park I live in the one that has cheap up grades obvious drug dealing and rodent infested I guess you didnt see the rat poison traps all around when you were walking your dog....we did have a beautiful hawk family that would fly around no more the hawks probly ate a poisoned rat and died.. this place is the pits,,,not safe very poorly managed..

I've seen the rat poison traps, but never have I seen a mouse or rat. Things have changed since the Donaldson Group has taken over. I'm not real happy with some folks that have moved into my building. But I still have to say that some of the things that go on in the rest of the development just don't happen where my bldg is. I feel very blessed, because I have seen the other areas...and it is like night and day. Also it seems like they have stopped having the police presence in the neighborhood, and things are really going downhill as a result.
