Donīt Move In!

I lived in an Hunt Club Apartment for a little over a year. When I initially moved in the maintenance staff was great. After about 6 months the staff changed. The new staff did not respond to calls immediately. Whenever it snowed it was up to mother nature to clear the path, or the tenants. It took the maintenance staff about a week or so later to get around to shoveling. A refridgerator in a neighbors apartment was replaced, the old refridgerator was left in the hallway for about two or three weeks before maintenance decided to move it. This was not only dangerous for children, but it also set the tenants on the floor up to be victims because anyone could have been hiding behind it. Crime increased in the complex. Some of the newer tenants are questionable. The management office lost record of a rent payment for May and contacted me in September to demand the money. Luckily I had a copy of the certified check that was used to pay the rent. Once youre in the apartment you are on your own just as if you owned a home. Some of the tenants prefer to throw the trash next to the empty dumpster as opposed to inside the dumpster. The rental office closes early unexpectedly. The list never ends. With all the people out of work today Im sure if AIMCO improved its recruiting methods they could find a staff that would actually take pride in their work.
