Here's Why.
1. NO AIR CONDITIONING 5/2000 to 7/2000.
Despite ENDLESS promises, and Complaints they finally replaced the entire unit.
NOT even a thanks for your patience or more appropriate- discount in rent. They actually got this done only one week after I called and Emailed their Corporate Offices.

2. LEAVING (forget about your deposit...)
I called ahead of time to find out specifically what I needed to do to ENSURE receiving my security deposit. (Many bad college experiences with never getting this money back)
Long story short- I do everything they indicate...give them a valid forwarding address etc and VOILA!!!!! I get a bill for
over SEVEN HUNDRED DOLLARS threatening to send this to Collections. I call and leave them messages asking for a reconciliation.
NO RETURNED PHONE CALLS.
Next I hear from Collection Agency, where I am now trying to avoid this paying what sure feels like LEGALIZED ROBBERY with THREATS to screw my credit rating.....
And for what it's worth, the Vietnamese ex neighbor of mine told me he thought they tried to take advantage of him because of where he was from. They fixed his light fixture which crashed to the floor one evening in only one day after he threatened to sue them for discrimination.

The office has turnover and they send out all the right notices about commitment, but the bottom line is the service was well below my already low expectations.
