before i moved in i confirmed my address in order to properly foward my mail. i was given one address, but due to an error in the management office, moved into another. i found out less than a week before my move in date. the apartment was not completely ready or in "move in condition". there was still work that needed to be completed in the bathroom. (i still do not have an outlet in there) some touchups needed to be done in the kichen as well, but maintenence left gluey footprints on the floor that will not come up no matter how hard i try. the phone line was not connected, as i was told it would be before i moved in. management said it was a problem with the phone company, but the phone company could not find a problem. after three weeks of phone calls (from my work) to the management office i finally had a working line. i have lived here for a little less than a year, and have had notices slipped under my door THREE TIMES explaining that they will be spraying for roaches. i can hear my neighbors television, children and toilet flushing. the loud music blaring from cars late at night, not to mention the trains, is disruptive when i need to fall asleep early. there have been several nights during the week when i work late, and although i have not felt unsafe, parking is a HUGE problem if you want a space near your apartment after 10:00pm. i really like the floor plan and the closet space in the bedroom, but there is no storage at all anywhere else (i keep my pots and pans under the sink in the kitchen due to lack of space). the rent is affordable, but you get what you pay for.
