Go Be Happy Somewhere Else! From: Hook98 Date posted: 4/2/2007 Years at this apartment: 2007 - 2007   If I could give out negative stars, this place would get a bundle. Very old complex, thin walls, very poorly insulated windows, and worst yet, uncooperative/apathetic management. In addition, starting in '07, tenants are required to pay for gas. The bills come from a metering company, so you ultimately pay the amount in the rent check. Our first month, we received a bill for nearly $400 for a two-bedroom apartment. Crazy, you might say' Not to these folks. After complaining, they essentially did nothing to assuage our fears regarding the energy efficiency of the apartment. Next month, we got a $60 bill for water use; problem is, it explicitly states in the lease that management is to pay for both hot and cold water. The response' They simply don't care. We have been renting various apartments for 10 years across the country and have been more disappointed in the last 2.5 months than we can put into words. Unfortunately, it seems as though we're stuck here. Please, DO NOT make the same mistake we did. If you want to pay $400 a month in gas and electric alone, as well as deal with an apathetic staff, then this place is for you. Otherwise, go somewhere else!
