Looks great from the outside OK from the inside -
pricing - seems to be fair

The area is a little rough - not a place to wander too far at night.

Constant rumors about the trustworthiness of the maintenence staff.

Good luck using the fireplace - they were not properly installed and you will get gassed out when you use it - so do a really good cleaning - it is doable but a smell will always persist.

The windows are paper thin - hope you like heating the outside air. The plastic blinds do nothing to block light

If you live in a loft - the upstairs will be 80 degrees and the main will be 65 - no return duct - no ceiling fans.

If there was a corner to cut on construction - they cut it.

Trash - they don't remove it often enough and some people are too lazy to take the trash to the bin - double wammy - like rats'' good.

The crew in the office is VERY nice but they are not known for their follow up. If you want something done stay after them. They will do it eventually. We had a water leak who knows if they are yet to fix it.

The pool hours are terrible you will get home just in time to watch them close the pool. That is your reward for a long days work.

But its a rental what do you expect' In the end I recommend it but these are important things to be aware of.

I have never had a problem with the maintenance guys. We're nice to them, and they're nice to us. We had a non-emergency on Saturday (blinds in guest bedroom were half broken), and it was fixed on Tuesday. They were alone in our place, and there was nothing missing. There was a little dirt from their shoes on the carpet, but I can easily vacuum it up. I wouldn't really say the area is "rough". There are a lot of Mexican guys that hang out around Old Towne, but they've never bothered me. I've walked with my mother-in-law for miles around the area, and never had any problems. In my opinion, this apartment complex is the best I've ever lived in. It's very low priced for the area (I'm paying $1145 for a 2 bed/2 bath) and comes with an in unit washer and dryer.
