I've lived here for a year now and while I am not renewing my lease this was a nice place. Horizontal noise is non-existant. In a year time I have never heard my neighbors. Vertical apparently is easily heard. I've had complaints from the neighbor underneath me because she can hear when my 4 year old nephew runs across the floor and will bang on the ceiling in return. She also filed a complaint a noise complaint because of that. I live on the top floor so I don't hear anything.

Only cons about the apartment is the fireplace. It's a nice addition if you could actually use it. When you turn it on the fire alarm goes off in about 5 minutes. The dishwasher is not very good and never gets by dishes completely clean. Parking sucks. When I have friends stop by they can never find a parking spot since you have to park on the street. Be prepared for heating the outside in the winter. There are horrible drafts from the windows.
