Now here's one apartment in Gaithersburg which you MUST AVOID at any cost. The feel-friendly staff at the rental office are all smiles till you sign on the dotted line. That's when the ordeal starts. We had signed a 1 year lease and we didn't have much choice when we learnt how bad they were at service and maintenance.

1) Within days of moving in, we noticed that our bedroom ceiling creaks and groans whenever our neighbor above walks or moves around in his house.

2) There is dog/cat litter all around the apartments (I blame the residents as much as the leasing folks for this) which don't get clened up for days. Nobody bothers!

3) We hear the cop sirens wailing right past our door at least 3-4 times a day and the see the red lights flashing through our window every other day when somebody is apprehended right next to the apartment premises! But, when we leased the apartment, we were told that this was one of the LOWEST crime rate areas in the entire state of Maryland!

4) I bet even the most hardened of people will be offended by the way the leasing folks talk to you, of course, after you sign the lease :)

5) The rent is way too high compared to some other communities around.

6) They give you one assigned parking slot. If you have 2 cars, you lease another for $25 on the terrace of a multi-storeyed parking garage. Unfortunately, the terrace slot is leased out to you for the period of your apartment lease. So, even if you get rid of your second car after a while, you're stuck with the spot!

7) Oh, and did I mention we had the local fire department visit us in the middle of the night thrice in the last 6 months - sirens wailing and hoses drawn'

All in all, this place is not worth the money you pay for it. We're just waiting for our lease to get over so we can get out!

Some people simply amaze me. Complaining about a parking space!!! Im not sure any other places around here has a parking garage and the space I got was free.I occasionally hear the people above me but after 2 years of living here it has never been a big deal. We are after all living in apartments and not a single family home. The fire department did show up twice ( check your spelling dude) and thank God they did. It sure makes me feel safe to know how fast they can respond and can you imagine the alternative if there was a fire and they didnt show up.Having the local police around makes me feel secure, there is a courtesy officer living in one of the apartments because Ive seen his car in the garage and Ive seen him patrol the garage often. I guess it would be a safer place to live if all the local police stayed away, gee wouldnt that be great!!! Some people seriously need to get an attitude adjustment or move

Trust me I understand what you mean about living in an apartment and not a single family home as far as the noise from above is concerned, but you should not hear every footstep or better yet hear change hit the floor and know if it was a quarter, or two dimes and a nickel, or five nickels. The fact that the police are in the area so much proves that the area is a high crime area. Becasue it is a high crime area, thank goodness the police are there as much as they are. If you go to some of the more affluent areas, the police presence is very rare unless there is an incident that they need to address. The fire department...why did they need to come so offen? Again that is a problem. The fact that they were there is a good thing...but in such a short period of time...they should not have been needed as much; I mean who is starting the fires? You got a free space, that is great You either got a sweet deal or you work for the complex...I'm thinking you work for the complex..but I am sure you will disagree...even if you really do. By the way, "thrice" is a word; look it up before you make comments ("check your spelling dude"). But to help you out, here is the definition: thrice(thrs) adv. 1. Three times. 2. In a threefold quantity or degree. 3. Archaic Extremely; greatly.

I was reading through because i was looking for a place, and now i have mixed feelings about the place...I checked it out and do think its good that the police and fire department are close, if they weren't i'd actually feel less safe...Makes me feel more comfortable anyway, as far as the noise thats definitely something to think about...hearing quarters though, thats funny...if its that thin i guess the place is made of crackers and if so i'm bringing cheese whiz... guess i'll have to check it out for myself and see what its all about...

Yes, dude, 'thrice' is a word. Get an education first before you accuse people of misspelling words. You must be one of the many imbecile residents that live in park station. God knows there are tons of 'em. God, I freakin' hate this place with dog crap scattered everywhere. One more year to go and then I'm moving out of this -------- state altogether! btw, this complex is adjacent to the biggest ghetto in the area...how's that for ya???
