My lease is ending this month and I'm sad to be leaving. So many people here complain about the maintenance and management staff, but I have nothing but nice things to say about them. My experience is that if you treat people with respect and kindness, maybe you'll get the same. They've always been prompt and kind, and in the few cases it took time to repair something, I just had to call in a reminder. (When I had one thing that was considered an emergency, they fixed it almost immediately.) The pool is an excellent benefit, and the other residents are very friendly. Having a washer/dryer side-by-side is a blessing, and we haven't had any problems with the new appliances. The carpeting and everything was immaculate when we moved in, it was clear that everything was repainted and cleaned for us. The Metro is only a 5-10 minute drive (depending on traffic/time of day), which is great. If you are easily woken up in the evening, make sure you have an apartment further from the train tracks, as the train honks when it comes through downtown Gaithersburg in the evening. I got used to it pretty quickly, but I'm not sure everyone will. Plus, where else can you park for free in a covered garage that's attached to your apartment building' It wasn't a big deal to pay an extra $25 for our second car. Really, that's a lot cheaper than any place else. Overall, I can recommend this apartment complex. It's a lot cheaper than anyplace you can find in Bethesda or Washington, D.C., and while it's not exactly in a vibrant downtown area, you're close enough to go in for a good time!
