Half the reviews/responses on here seem like they're written by office management, or someone who works for the managment company. Notice how anytime someone has a complaint about something someone responds back saying how "absurd" or "ridiculous" it was' How fishy does that seem' (And yes, I know there's a clause below about certifying you are "not an employee or contractor for this community or any other community"- but of course they'd say they weren't!). How about the Park Station management stop going online and posting all these phony responses acting like they're tenants and get some lessons in how to deal with customers in a professional and courteous manner'
On that note, I DO have some positive things to say about Park Station: 1-Pretty nice apartments. Could use some work structurally, but nothing you can do about that now. Our apartment was beautiful- the layout was perfect for us, the kitchen was real modern-looking, and having two bathrooms was really nice. 2-Parking. Great if you have a spot in the garage (you get one free space per apartment). We purchased another spot so that we wouldn't have to fight for parking around the complex. Our spots were on the same floor, which was nice for us lazy folks who don't like the stairs (there are elevators, but they smell funny). The lighting in the garage could be better though, it was pretty dark walking from your car to your apartment by yourself, especially on the first floor of the garage. 3-Having a washer/dryer in unit was WONDERFUL. Sooo glad we didn't have a common laundry facility that you'd have to share with half the building, or have to go to a laundromat. 4-All the appliances worked fine, except the dishwasher. We didn't even use it because it never got our dishes clean. The garbage disposal was really loud- and I mean REALLY loud. So were the bathroom fans, but I guess that's a good thing. 5-The maintenance staff. They were great. They were polite, courteous, and laid-back. They took care of what they were supposed to and were a pleasure to talk to.
Now for some complaints- look for the responses to how "outrageous" these are ;-). Please keep in mind that these are our experiences; hopefully yours differ should you decide to rent here. 1-The MANAGEMENT staff. Now if only they could take some lessons from their maintenance staff. Before we moved in, they were somewhat polite. We could tell that the person showing us the apartment didn't have the warmest of personalities, but that didn't seem to be too big a deal. After we moved in, we were appalled at the way management spoke to us- in a very condescending manner, almost as if it was like, "how DARE you come and complain about something'! Just pay your rent, tell us the problem, and get outta here!" Can you imagine' Instead of apologizing for the inconvenience of us having to come to the rental office to voice a complaint, they acted like WE were the inconvenience! Isn't that the whole point of the rental office' To keep your tenants happy so that they'd renew or recommend the place to someone new' I mean, if we had a ridiculous complaint like, 'lower our rent 50%', then, yeah, I can imagine getting looked at like I had five heads. But telling you the doors didn't close' Come on, I wasn't born yesterday. If I could have fixed the problem myself, I wouldn't have come down to the leasing office in the first place. At least ACT like you're interested in what I have to say, and don't brush me off like I'm a little kid. Customer service, man. It should be number one with ALL businesses. 2-The walls were pretty thin. Whenever someone walked by in heels, we could hear them outside. And whenever I was in the bathroom at the same time as the guy upstairs, I could hear him sneeze or close the cabinets. 3-Our windows leaked like crazy. Luckily we moved out during the winter, so it wasn't too bad (altough I'm sure we could have saved some on heating and cooling bills). Make sure you ask management to replace your windows. But ask them extra extra extra nicely and MAYBE they'll be kind in return. 4-The neighborhood isn't as nice as it seems. Park Station is flanked by some not-so-nice complexes, and the management doesn't do anything to inform residents of crime on the complex. Overall, we expected more for our money. For so called "luxury apartments", the staff could definitely be more professional and the construction better. The management staff was so bad that they are pretty much the reason we moved. If they were just a little bit kinder, nicer, and more polite, we would have definitely renewed our lease. But then again, I guess maybe we were just bad tenants ;-)
