The Verandahs

Allows dogs and cats From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 1/18/2008 Years at this apartment: 2008 - 2008   I chose the Verandahs because I have a brood of rescued cats and dogs and the Verandahs is one of the few places in the Gaithersburg area that allows residents to have both cats and dogs, even ones like my 40 pound mutt. Larger dogs are the hardest for animal shelters to find homes for, so I think more apartment complexes that don't have low weight limits on dogs are needed. Only once did I have a problem with a dog being off the leash. Not everybody picks up their dog's droppings, which I found annoying, but it's like that everywhere in the county where dogs are allowed, unfortunately. There was a car break-in front of my apartment a few weeks ago, so security could be improved, but over-all it was a decent and fairly affordable place to live, by Gaithersburg standards anyway.
