I have been living in Avalon Knolls for the past two years and I must say the neighborhood has gotten extremely terrible. I referred a friend and they are not happy at all. Unfortunately I am not in a position to move. My next step is a house purchase..
When I moved in in April 2003 my carpet was stained in everyroom of the house. I complained and was told they would not replace the carpet and that when I move out I will not be charged for any stains that I may make... I was also told by the Property Manager that she would reimburse me upto $150 for an area rug NEVER HAPPENED !!!! I did not feel comfortable with the carpet- it looked as it was infested with FLEAS or something. My washing machine and dryer were from 1960 !!! and the washing machine smelled of mildew that it overtook the entire back of the house YUCK !! I complained and had to move in anyway- cause I signed the lease and was basically HOMELESS !!!. The washing machine was replaced with a newere version 1980's machine that was moved from another community and the maintenance guy informed me of that in confidence.. he also told me my apartment was in to bad of shape to be rented !!!- My bathroom was FILTHY- tiles were so full of residue.. Coincidently that maintenance guy was gone right after that- and he was new... The best staff member ever was Tammy and she is gone now !!! The staff has a high roll ever and I wonder why !!!
I live right in front and my car was broken into and items were stolen, a year later the car was stolen completely from the front of the rental building, got the car back after 6 months and someone in turn broke into it again and stole the radio.. how about that. Also got a new car and after a week someone KEYED THE ENTIRE SIDE OF THE CAR UP, and just this past Monday- either Pepsi or Coke was poured all over the car from top tp bottom.. Now what in the world is that !!!
My neighbor was almost mugged. The crime in the neighborhood is terrible..
In my apartment, I have had a problem with bees infested in my apartment, magets in the bathroom- tiles coming apart from the shower walls and some strange black bugs flying around...
Don't move here unles you have a lot of patience....Unfortunately I just renewed my lease....

I'm across the street in Rolling hills. It's a hellhole, too. We pay $1125. How about you?
