I've lived here for way too long, I'm glad I've decided to move out when my lease expires end of this month. The office staff is down right incompetent, rude, condescending, unprofessional and just idiotic. Back in 2004 A visitor of mine had a personal issue with one of the maintenance staff and because of that when I wasn't home he'll enter my apartment(without authorization mind you) and leave written messages in my bedroom for my visitor who was long gone.
Last year I wanted the carpet changed because it wasn't changed when we moved in and it was just falling apart, they gave me the run around for weeks and finally refused to change it, so I contacted the District Manager and after she came and inspected the it, they decided to change the carpet in the living areas but not the two bedrooms and I had to settle for that. Last weekend when it rained my bedroom was leaking (I live on the 2nd floor) so I don't understand why it was leaking and when I reported it I was told
someone will be there in the morning, no one came, in the afternoon I called again I was given the same run around until late in the evening someone showed up to look at it. That Beth in the office is very rude and condescending they ought to get rid of her ASAP. Last year when I had to renew my lease, I was told they close at 7pm on thursdays since I get off work at 6pm I figure I'll be there before 7pm. I got there at 6:45pm the office was closed, I knocked on the door for several times before one of the staff came out and told me that she's shut off the computers and there's nothing she can do and stood out there and started smoking. Hello you close at 7 not 6:45. The time that she was suppose to be assisting me renew my lease, she was too busy smoking. If I were to recount all the problems I've had at Canterbury we'll run out of space but I've mentioned a few to warn anybody thinking about moving over here to take their money elsewhere. I'm the type of person that never complains about anything but with Canterbury you have to constantly complain about something before they do anything about it, sometimes I just didn't bother to bring it to their attention at all.

Hello, I was just browsing because I live in Rolling Hills Apartment, just around the corner, off of Wisteria Drive. Girl, please, please, never come here....ok! I have finally received help from the Department of Housing Code Enforcement. I emailed my opinion from this web site to the County Executive, Mr. Douglas Duncan. And believe me, I AM NOT THE ONE TO PLAY WITH.....I have only lived in this dumb for a year, and the existing tenants have some many complaints. My prayers where finally answered....Thank You Jesus! Instead of Montgomery County during their 3-year inspection next year, they are coming here next month. Based on my email and having 3 open cases. I try to encourage everyone to please call the Landlord-Tenant Affairs at (240)777-3600 and Housing Code Enforcement at (240) 777-3785. Also, visit their web site at www.montgomerycountymd.gov.hca I am also going to use this web-site Flyer#1 and post them in all 39 buildings. I want people to be aware of everything. Good luck to you and be bless. |
