I've only been at this crappy place for 1 1/2 months and I'm already regretting it! I got a good deal so I'm trying to put up with it though. Before we moved in we were told the construction would be done before we came...well it wasn't. Then we were told 2 more weeks...it's been 6 weeks and they've still got 6 weeks of work left! Our mailbox was completey broken (to where we couldn't get our mail) and the office staff were notified. They told me to call the post office - post office said that's the management's responsibility. Management says, "oh, ya, we'll fix that then". IDIOTS! Then the maintenence guys jury-rigged it and it only worked one day. We told them it was still broken. They said, oh, ok we'll have to order a new one....3 weeks later the mailbox unit is stolen because it was still broken and we still can't get our mail. The office staff say, "we can't locate the box. We were under the impression it was fixed" HOW''' I TOLD YOU IT WAS STILL BROKEN AND YOU TOLD ME IT WOULD BE FIXED! IDIOTS!! When I spoke to someone in the office she was rude and emotionless...not even apologetic. Also, the construction guys moved stuff off of our balcony and we were never told where it was! We had to do our own investigation to find our stuff! I also put in a formal complaint about the noise around here - these tenants are all 20 somethings that party all the time. The guy above us does awful country karioke every night with his balcony door open. So we can't have our door open or it's unbearable. The office told us a notice was going to be issued to the building - never happened. Also, the office gave us a notice about powerwashing on the balconies 3 days later than the first date listed on the notice...but get this...the washing didn't occur until 1 day AFTER the last day listed on the notice. Oh, and the parking...I never have a problem getting a parking space but yet they won't even issue a parking sticker for my motorcycle. The bike is too big to park in the same spot as my car so I have to park it in visitor parking REDICULOUS! They let a school bus have a sticker in my lot, but not my motorcycle!' These people are all on crack or something. DO NOT MOVE HERE! Another thing...part of the floor in our bathroom is CAVING IN - like you can actually put your fingers through the wood floor beneath the tiles. Once again, maintenence tells us it'll be fixed within the week - 3 weeks later they don't even know anything about it!' This place is a joke!

I had to laugh reading through your post. Not laughing at your troubles or anything but how truly IDIOTIC the office staff really is. Everytime you worte "IDIOTS" I laughed because I feel your pain. I had the misfortune of living there and thought I was the only one who thought the staff were a bunch of idiotic apes who knew nothing and could careless about what problems the tenants were facing. When I lived there my bedroom ceiling actually caved in on me, (after 3 weeks of complaining that it was leaking mind you), if i were to tell you the stress and aggrevation I went through after the ceiling caved, we'll run out of space. I'm soooooooooo glad to be out of there now and hope you also get out soon.

Thanks for the empathy, I'm finally out now! Couldn't be happier...well, I still haven't gotten my security deposit back yet so I should knock on wood. As an update....during the course of the year I had to call the police TWICE! Once for a drunken fist-fight right outside while I'm trying to sleep and again when the male neighbor upstairs was beating the crap out of his girlfriend. Seriously sounded like she was going to be killed. Oh, and at one point the management tried to say I owed THEM for some power usage...like $35 or something. I asked for proof and called Allegheny to verify - they said I was all paid up. Management never got back to me..they were obviously trying to scam me!! They were saying, "oh, yeah this is standard stuff - everyone owes us something at the beginning because of blah blah blah." Burn the place down!

yep, terrible place. I don't totally agree with your portrayal of the other people living there, but then again I'm guessing you're in the Sweetgum area, I'm in the Bristlecone area which is actually pretty relaxed and quiet. Never had problems in that area. But yes, the staff are emotionless, uncaring oafs who act like they hate everyone who lives there, no matter how good of a tenant you actually are. They really are ridiculous, I made the mistake of renewing my lease last year but after this year it will NOT happen again - movign out in a couple months. This place should be either entirely re-staffed or just shut down.
