Love my apartment!

I have lived here at the Elms for over a year and i have not had nearly as many problems as some people here. I did hear from one of my neighbors about the leak but let me tell you, freezing pipes are a possibility. My parents bought a new home in Clarksburg last year and they had a pipe burst as well. I'm talking about a $650K home from a well respected builder.
I can agree on a few things here like the parking and maybe noise complaints. I can hear my neighbors above me but thats something i've learned to deal with living in an apartment.
Parking is horrible depending on what building you are in and the time you come in at night. This was also a problem at the apartment complex i moved from.
The office staff has always been courtesy to me and always asks me when i come in if everything is good in my unit (and like someone else said here, they know me by name!). I see the little groundskeeper always out trying to maintain the trash and does a great job. I actually fault other people that live here, because I believe they dont care to pick up after themselves, or take pride in where they live.
and to the last poster, those cracks are very normal for new construction, its called SETTLEMENT. We had them in our apartment and maintenance came in to patch them. Simply a phone call. I lived on a top floor new apartment before this one and had settlement cracks and nail pops.
Overall i say if you can afford the rent, the Elms is definitely one of the nicer complexes in this area.
