I've lived in this area before and it is much improved. You can find places closer to 495 for the same $$ but it wont be as nice. The community is attractive from the outside with benches and court yards that intice you to stay a while. the interiors are clean, updated (it was built in '05, what do you expect) with great open architecture, i.e. 9' ceilings, sunrooms, lofts. My 2 major complaints are the parking and the trash. parking is impossible after 8pm. get a place that backs to the street, so you can park on it. I'm thankful for the recycling, but it is constantly overflowing as well as the trash. Another station somewhere else in the community would help. This is my second month here and so far I enjoy it. I looked for long time from germantown down through rockville, and this was the best deal for the $$. I consider myself very picky and the Elms has been more than satisfactory.

Do you ever have problems with noise? I am curious because some of the other negative comments have been due to the noise problems and thin walls.
